What we use
This site sets no cookies for its visitors. There are no analytics, advertising or session cookies, and therefore no consent banner — there would be nothing to consent to.
What about the language you chose?
It lives in the address, not in a cookie: the English version is under /en, and it stays that way as you browse. If you type the address again without /en, the site opens in Portuguese.
What about the newsletter invitation?
When you ask to join the newsletter, the site leaves a note in your browser's storage that just says "signed up", so as not to show the invitation again. Closing the invitation leaves another note, which the browser deletes by itself when you close the tab. Neither of them identifies anyone, and neither leaves your device. Opening the secret menu also stores a key with your email, signed by us and valid for 180 days: when you come back to the menu, the site sends it to the server to check that you are still signed up and to open the menu without asking for your email again. The "Close the menu" button deletes it. None of these is a cookie, and if you delete them, the worst that can happen is the invitation showing up again or the menu asking for your email again.
The staff area
There is an area reserved for the people who work here, to update the menu and the opening hours. Anyone who uses its sign-in screen receives up to three strictly necessary cookies — one for a sign-in code in progress (it lasts ten minutes), one to keep the session open and one so that the same device isn't asked for a code every time — and only in that area: they are never sent to the other pages. People who just visit the site never receive them.
How to check
You don't have to take our word for it: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Application tab, and you will see that the cookie list for this domain is empty.
